I started understanding the rules and how the game was played the next year My image of each team was formed back then, and my image of Washington was them in gold pants with either white or burgundy jerseys. So when they dumped the gold pants to start the '79 season, to me it was like aliens had occupied that team. I could change my view of that and roll with it, but frankly, I don't want to. I'm picky that way. Something along the lines of "The comments of this blogger do not necessarily represent those of the GUD, blah, blah, blah."

I, for one, prefer the burgundy pants with the white tops. It reminds me of the good old days at RFK on CBS with Pat Summeral & John Madden and John Riggins and Art Monk and Gary Clark and Joe Theismann and "Hail to the Redskins" playing after touchdowns. The yellow pants are OK w/ the burgundy tops IMHO but look like shite with the white jerseys. And this from a Bears fan!
One GUD man's opinion.
Bill Schaefer
GUDBillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07655353203555531218noreply@blogger.com
